Profile: Born in Australia, Lowry was scouted by Aston Villa whilst playing for Perth team ECU Joondalup.

He has proved to be a talented young defender during his time at Millwall. He is strong, agile and commanding. His reading of the game and ability to play the ball out of defence belies his tender age.

Lowry has been touted by a number of Lions fans as possessing the potential to become a future Millwall captain.

He signed professional terms for Villa in 2007 on a one-year deal, making several appearances for the reserves. Between 2009 and 2011, Lowry spent loan periods at Plymouth Argyle, Leeds United and Sheffield United, making 41 appearances in total.

He initially joined Millwall on loan in November 2011 but boss Kenny Jackett signed him permenantly in January 2012 on a two-year deal.

Did you know: Lowry was scouted by Villa whilst playing ECU Joondalup – the same club that produced highly-rated Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams.
