Profile: Malone was born in Rowley Regis in the West Midlands and is a product of Wolverhampton Wanderers' youth academy.

He was Kenny Jackett’s first signing ahead of the 2012-13 season, signing a three-year deal in May from Bournemouth, with striker Josh McQuoid going the other way as part of the deal.

After signing his first professional contract with Wolves in 2009, Malone was immediately loaned out to Hungarian outfit Újpest FC, where he made 7 appearances and scored one goal.

He then went on to make 55 league appearances during loan spells at Southend, Burton Albion and Bournemouth respectively, scoring a total of six goals.

He then signed permanent terms with the Cherries in January 2012 in a £150,000-deal, only to join Millwall five months later.
