Profile: N’Guessan began his career in France, having been born in Ivry-sure-Seine, a Parisienne suburb.

He came through the academy at Auxerre but left to sign for Glasgow Rangers in 2005. He went out on loan to Boston United, where he scored five goals in 23 appearances, before Lincoln signed him from the SPL club in 2007.

Whilst at Sincil Bank, N'Gussan netted 16 times in 91 games, catching the attention of Leicester City, who signed him in 2009. He scored a meagre 3 goals in 31 appearances for The Foxes, spending time on loan at Scunthorpe, Southampton and eventually Millwall during his time at the Midlands club.

Boss Kenny Jackett signed N'Guessan in August 2011 on a free transfer, before he was loaned out to South London rivals Charlton towards the end of the 2011-12 season, where he scored and impressive four goals in six starts.

N’Guessan made 15 league appearances in his debut season with the Lions, mostly coming off the bench and scoring only once – the winner in a 1-0 victory over Portsmouth on Boxing day 2011.

Did you know: Dany was produced by Auxerre’s academy, the same youth set-up that churned out stars such as AC Milan defender Phillipe Mexes and QPR striker Djibril Cisse.
