Alan Dunne

Postion: Defender

Squad number: 2

Profile: Born in Dublin, Ireland, Dunne is one of the most experienced players at Millwall having served the club for over 12 years since emerging from the youth set-up in 2000.

After drifting in and out of the starting line-up in his first few years on the fringes of the first team, Dunne finally made the right-back position his own in the 2004-05 season under manager Dennis Wise.

His energy, determination and willingness to put in a strong challenge have seen him become a favourite with Lions fans. This culminated in him winning the Player of the Year award in the 2009-10 season.

He celebrated his testimonial year the following season, but more recently Dunne has faced stiff competition from the versatile Jack Smith for the right-back berth under boss Kenny Jackett.

Did you know: Dunne has been sent off more times (8) than any other Millwall player in the club's history.
