KENNY Jackett has confirmed that he would like to keep Danny Shittu and Chris Taylor at Millwall beyond the end of their current contracts.
The duo have become mainstays in the first team since penning one-year deals at The Den in the summer and Jackett says he has been delighted with their impact.
And, speaking after his side's 1-0 win at Wolves, Jackett hinted that Shittu and Taylor would be offered extensions in due course.
"The timing of any contract talks is important," he said. "Chris and Danny are both in the side, playing well and we do see a future for them at Millwall.
"I've been very pleased with both of them, coming to the club in different circumstances. Chris came here after playing 250 games in League One.
"He was always looking for a chance in the Championship and I think he's taken it well. There's more to come from him.
"Danny is slightly different in that he's in his second spell at the club. He's given us a lot of stability in terms of his presence and leadership. He's stopped us conceding goals."
