Wright pleased to return to Millwall side for Leeds win

JOSH Wright felt he made the most of his first Millwall start in nearly two months against Leeds United.

Wright had not been named in Kenny Jackett's starting line-up since the 2-1 defeat to Brighton in September prior to the 1-0 win over the Whites.

The 23-year-old was drafted into the side after Jimmy Abdou returned home to France for the birth of his daughter.

And Wright said: "I have been out of the side for a fair while but I have been there supporting the boys during that time.

"I have come on as a substitute in recent games but I was just pleased to get back out there and get the three points.

"Injuries, suspensions and paternity leaves happen in football and you have to take your chances when you get them and I feel I did that.

"I think I played well and contributed to the three points. I did what I had to do and proved I could do both sides of it – attacking and defending.

"It was a fantastic win. Any win is a fantastic win in this division but to keep our run going against a club like Leeds, given the circumstances, is great."

I thought he was rubbish - can't tackle, can't head, can't run with the ball and slows the play down. I know he divides opinion like no other but in my opinion - not good enough. One good block tho!!!!
