Beevers: Millwall will not be fazed by Blackburn hotshot

MARK Beevers insists Millwall will not be fazed by Jordan Rhodes when they come up against the £8million-striker at Blackburn on Saturday.

Rhodes, who has hit nine goals in 14 appearances since his big-money move to Rovers last summer, bagged a hat-trick in a 4-1 win over Peterborough last time out.

But Beevers, speaking ahead of the Lions' trip to Ewood Park, says Millwall will not make any special preparations for the Scotland international.

He said:  "You have to adapt to different players in the Championship. Rhodes has different attributes to the two strikers we were up against in the Leeds game.

"We will sit down and talk about him but I don't think we will have to change too much. We want to continue what we have been doing recently and build on the clean sheet we kept last weekend.

"The gaffer said in the changing room that our 'goals against' column is looking healthier and that can only be good for us."

Manager Kenny Jackett said: "Rhodes has got a goalscoring record and attracts a lot of focus, as goalscorers do.

"He's got eight hat-tricks in senior football already which is a terrific record for someone in their early 20s."
