KENNY Jackett believes a settled back-four has been the key to Millwall's nine-game unbeaten run.
The Lions boss had lamented poor defensive performances earlier in the season but his side have conceded just two goals in their last four games.
Centre-backs Danny Shittu and Mark Beevers have been ever-present in the side in recent weeks and Jackett says the duo have been vital.
"I feel that all season we've created chances and have had the ability to score goals," he told the club's official site, speaking ahead of the visit of Leeds United to The Den on Sunday.
"What we've done of late is do better as a side defensively and the 'goals against' column has been better.
"We've settled down the back four, which has helped. It's more consistent. The two centre-backs have been in place for quite a number of games and that has helped us.
"As a side, I'm pleased to say we've reduced the goals but still looked a threat going forward and being able to score."
