MILLWALL boss Kenny Jackett has been pipped to the Championship manager of the month award by Middlesbrough's Tony Mowbray.
Mowbray steered Boro to five wins and one draw during October and received the gong ahead of Jackett and Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll.
Mowbray said: "It's a recognition of the whole club, not just for me, the players and the coaching staff, but also Avril, who empties the bins and cleans my desk, and Darkey who put the kits out each and every morning.
"If they don't do their jobs properly the players will moan and I'll end up arguing with them.
"But instead everything just works – the players go in at lunchtime and the food's ready, you go to have a cup of tea and the cups are there clean for you.
"You can create a feelgood factor in your club right through every level. Manager of the month awards are really a reflection that something is happening in you club for that period of time."
