Warnock: Pundits will be expecting Millwall to beat Leeds

NEIL Warnock believes injury-hit Leeds United will travel to The Den to face Millwall on Sunday as underdogs.

Warnock says he expects to put out "half a team" for the televised clash with Rudolph Austin, Michael Brown and Jason Pearce all set to miss out.

Austin cracked a bone in his ankle during the Whites' 6-1 defeat to Watford and will be out for three months, while Pearce and Brown are both suspended.

The trio join Leigh Bromby, Ramon Nunez and Adam Drury on the sidelines. Strikers Ross McCormack and Davide Somma returned to training last week but are short of match fitness.

"We go to an in-form team on Sunday and we’ve got a week off, thank goodness," Warnock told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"Millwall's always an exciting place to go and I always enjoy going to The Den. It's a great atmosphere and when you're the underdog, you’ve got to take it on the chin and just get on with it.

"Whoever comes into the team has got to roll their sleeves up. Most pundits will think we'll get beaten at Millwall with half a team.

"But that's why I love the game and why I am still in it after all these years. It's such a great game in England – you never know what’s round the corner."

He should bear in mind that we have a couple players out as well, including our captain and top goalscorer.

Half a team, underdogs!? Mind games already Warnock u wily old Fox. Three weeks ago he would have said Millwall were classed as the underdogs, now look. Either way it will be a tough game for both sides which the Lions will nick by a goal, extending the unbeaten run to ten. COYL
