Report: Millwall 0-0 Derby

Bryson wasted a glorious chance for Derby

MILLWALL moved up a place in the Championship table despite being held to a goalless draw at home to Derby.

The Lions went into the game buoyed by their FA Cup win at Southampton on Tuesday night, but could only manage a point against a resillient Rams side on a bitterly cold afternoon at The Den.

The best chance of the game arguably fell to the visitors, who will still be wondering how Craig Bryson shot wide of an empty net following David Forde's fumble in the 36th minute.

Second-half substitute Andy Keogh, making his home debut for Millwall, headed over Liam Feeney's cross at the death as Kenny Jackett's side searched in vain for a late winner.

Fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest picked up a point at home to Watford, but defeats for Bristol City and Coventry saw the Lions climb to 20th in the league standings, five points above the relegation zone.

Millwall : Forde; Dunne, Robinson (c), Lowry, Barron; Wright (Smith 77); Henry (Keogh 66), Mason, Trotter, Kane; Henderson.

Derby: Fielding; Green, Barker (c), Shackell, Roberts; Carroll (Bailey 77), Hendrick, Bryson; Ward (Doyle 90+7), Tyson (Buxton 86); Ball.
