Forest manager O'Driscoll praises Millwall performance

SEAN O'Driscoll conceded Nottingham Forest were beaten by the better side after Millwall ran riot at the City Ground.

O'Driscoll praised strikers Chris Wood and Darius Henderson after they grabbed a goal a piece in the second-half of the Lions' impressive 4-1 win.

"It looked as though either our front two or their front two would win the game, and their front two did it for them," he said.

"We didn't really see that coming Рthe game was quite tight and at half-time it was 50-50. They came here with a six-game unbeaten run and you could see why.

"They get the ball up to the front two, who are mobile, and they play off that. In this division it's as good a tactic as you can have.

"They have a strong back four, legs in midfield and if they keep everyone fit they will be as good as anyone else in this league.

"We are still forming as a team and didn't function as well as we had been doing recently. There were reasons for that like injuries, suspension and enforced changes.

"We keep swapping and changing – it's not an excuse but it doesn't help."

Not sure where he said this, it was not in his Forest player interview on their official website taken after the game that I read last night. He did not mention Millwall at all, referred to us as 'they came with a game plan and we fell into it' Mentioned that Henderson maybe should have been sent off for an elbow just after halft time but did say 'there front 2 are as good as any in the division' No mention at all in the 8 minute interview that we were the better side on the day?

I was at the game and this is what he said in his post-match press conference for the written press. TV/radio interviews are done separately.

Thanks for that. Someone on HOF mentioned that he said some nice things about us but other than your article here I have not seen any as yet, so wondered where it all was. Their defencer Collins gave and interview and he said we were worthy winners. Just don't seem to happen much when we win does it, its never Millwall were better its always we were poor today

Kenny burns wrote an article saying we where bully boys.. well he should know he was an animal in his day . It was never a pen Sharp dived and should have been booked and Hendo never touched Collins the big grizzling lump. We where actually brilliant on the day first half was good enough and then second half we just blew them away. Shituuu captain fantastic sorry Robbo you won't get it back while he's playing like this. Everyone is always disappointed to loose to Wall, like it should never happen........suck it up boys we are here to stay.
