DAVID Forde sees no reason why Millwall can not emulate the success of Reading after recovering from their shaky start to the season.
The Royals were promoted to the Premier League last term despite finding themselves in 16th place in the Championship table at the start of November – just a place above the Lions' current league position.
Millwall are unbeaten in their last six matches going into Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest and Forde believes consistency will be the key to success.
"We're going well," he told TalkSport. "I think we're on our longest unbeaten run since we returned to the Championship a couple of years ago.
"It's a great little spell – especially in this division, because every point is a bonus. The Huddersfield win propelled us right up the table.
"We always seem to do well up at the City Ground and the clean sheet last week has given us the incentive to kick on now and compete in this league. There's no one who I think is outstanding in the division.
"If we can keep our run going, maintain our consistency and have a good Christmas period – like Reading did last year – you never know what could happen or where you could end up."
