DARIUS Henderson and Chris Wood believe they are beginning to form a fruitful partnership up front for Millwall.

The duo have started together in the Lions' last four league matches, during which time they have scored five goals between them, and look set to face Huddersfield Town at The Den on Saturday.

"I think we've done well together," Henderson said. "A lot of people say two big guys up front together don't really match, but we complement each other well.

"We read each other's game well and long may that continue. I think we've got a lot of strikers here who are capable of doing well, so it keeps us on our toes and we have to play well in every game to stay in the team.

"There's Andy Keogh, Shaun Batt, Dany N'Guessan plus John Marquis, who's out injured at the moment. When fit, everyone's capable and that just makes it more and more interesting.

"It makes us fight harder for our place that little bit more, knowing that there are guys behind you on the bench waiting to come on and do a job."

Wood, meanwhile, says he benefits from Henderson's physical qualities. He said: "It's working out well. He's a good player to play off. He's strong, physical and he's got one hell of a shot on him."
