Wood wary of Huddersfield's "Premier League" strikers

STRIKER Chris Wood admits there will be no let up for Millwall's creaking defence when Huddersfield Town arrive at The Den on Saturday.

Manager Kenny Jackett branded the Lions' back four "embarrassing" after they threw away a three-goal lead against Birmingham City in midweek and Wood believes the attack-minded Terriers will provide an equally stern test.

"Hopefully it will open up for us forward players," he said. "Huddersfield are a very strong side and they're not up the top of the table for nothing.

"They've done very well this season and it's going to take a lot to keep them out at the back.

"They've brought in two quality strikers in James Beckford and James Vaughan. They're two Premier League strikers generic lexapro bad side effects really.

"They both have quality and have scored goals for years at different levels. They've got quality throughout their midfield as well."

Wood scored a first-half brace in Millwall's 3-3 draw with the Blues but, while he was pleased to get on the scoresheet, he admitted his frustration at not scoring a hat-trick.

"Personally, I was satisfied with my performance," he said. "But I wasn't happy – I had two other chances where I probably should have scored.

"I'll have a little go at myself for that. Otherwise I'm satisfied with what I did. Goals always help a striker and their confidence.

"As long as I'm in the right positions and I'm getting chances, I'll hopefully stick the ball in the back of the net for the team."
