Stuttering Leeds United set to be without key player for Millwall clash at Elland Road

LEEDS United are set to be without midfielder Kalvin Phillips when they host Millwall at Elland Road on Tuesday week.

Phillips (background, left) faces a three-game ban after his dismissal for a late tackle on QPR’s Geoff Cameron in Leeds' 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road on Saturday.

The challenge infuriated Hoops players, who crowded around Phillips before referee Peter Bankes produced a straight red card.

"It was a very, very poor challenge," QPR boss Mark Warburton said.

"You don't want to see any player red-carded. It was a really poor challenge, a very dangerous tackle.

"Geoff is sore right now but he got away with it. He wasn't a happy man at the final whistle, he missed three months last season."

The Lions travel to Yorkshire after facing Sheffield United in the fourth round of the FA Cup next Saturday.
