GARY Rowett has provided a positive injury update on the fitness of both Frank Fielding and midfielder Ryan Leonard.
Fielding hasn't played since suffering a quad injury in the first-half of his debut during the opening day victory over Preston North End back in August, whilst Leonard has been sidelined since injuring his knee against Leeds United last month and has seen a specialist.
Rowett said: "Frank has just started to get involved with a bit of goalkeeping work. I think his problem is going to be striking a ball, because it was a quad injury, kicking muscle injury. I think he can get up to 70-80 percent fairly quickly. We are trying to involve him in little bits, just to work his feet and work his hands with LT [Lee Turner] the goalkeeping coach, but I think he is a little bit further away.
"Ryan has had some reasonably good news with his brace coming off, we think he is probably going to be a couple of weeks away from training. He could be back in two weeks and playing three days later or he could be back in two weeks and it might take two weeks on the training ground to get up to speed. When you have been out for that period of time it is difficult to come straight back into the side."
