JAYSON Molumby got a “great move” to a “good club” in Millwall when he joined on loan from Brighton in the summer, according to Ireland defender Shane Duffy.
Molumby and Duffy are Seagulls team-mates and could link up in Mick McCarthy’s senior side if the current Lions midfielder continues his impressive development.
Ireland under-21 captain Molumby has impressed Millwall fans with his tenacious displays and technical ability.
Molumby is in action for Stephen’s Kenny’s side tonight against Italy in their European Championship qualifier.
Molumby made his seventh appearance of the season in Millwall's 2-1 win over Leeds United at The Den on Saturday.
“I think it’s a great move for Jayson, firstly,” Duffy said on international duty.
“He’s had a tough time with injuries and I think he would have been a lot closer to the first team if he didn’t suffer those setbacks.
“It’s great for him that he can be out there and playing now at a good club in Millwall and at a good level in the Championship.”
