JIRI Skalak will miss the second-round EFL Cup clash at Oxford United on Tuesday night – but has an "outside chance" of being fit to face Hull City in Millwall's last Championship game before the international break.
Skalak went off with a foot injury in the 4-0 defeat at Fulham last weekend.
"Jiri’s had a scan on his heel, his foot, the bottom part of the leg," Lions boss Neil Harris explained. "He’s just got some bruising to the heel area. He’s still not able to put full weight through his foot so he’s not available for Tuesday.
"There’s an outside chance for Saturday and the good news is it doesn’t look anything serious. With Jed [Wallace's] suspension Jiri rightly thought he could have a run of games. I really fancied him to push on and do well.
"He was just finding his way against Fulham when the incident happened with the blocked shot.
"We’re pleased there’s no serious damage. We’re hopeful for Saturday but if not then then after the international break."
