NEIL Harris will continue his rotation policy for the EFL Cup at Oxford tomorrow – with some of the club’s younger players also set to get a chance to impress.
Summer signings Luke Steele, Jason McCarthy, Jayson Molumby and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson should start, while Billy Mitchell will also hope to be involved. George Alexander is unlikely to play as he was in the under-23 side that defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 in a Professional Development fixture at Calmont Road on Monday. Alexander scored the second goal after Harvey Bradbury's opener.
Tomorrow is Millwall’s seventh game of a hectic opening month of the season.
“I’ve rotated quite a lot so far and that will continue,” Harris said. “There will be quite a lot of changes tomorrow night.
“I think it’s only right for two reasons. Players deserve the chance to play when they did so well in the game against West Brom, and because of the amount of games we’ve had and the travelling.
“Having said that, we’re still looking to win the game. Tom Elliott comes into the squad, he’s trained for a few weeks now and he needs some minutes.
“I might also include one or two of the youngsters.”
Jed Wallace serves the last game of his three-match ban and will return to the squad for the Championship clash with Hull City at The Den on Saturday.
Jiri Skalak is out with bruising to his foot.
Possible Millwall starting XI: Steele; McCarthy, Hutchinson, Cooper, Ferguson; Mahoney, Molumby, Leonard, O’Brien; Bodvarsson, Bradshaw.
