MILLWALL are close to completing a free-transfer swoop for goalkeeper Frank Fielding.
Former England senior call-up Fielding, 31, will join the Lions after six seasons at Bristol City before his release this summer.
Previous to the Robins Fielding played for Derby for two years and was also capped for England under-19s and under-21s.
Millwall were hoping to complete the signing of Bartosz Bialkowski earlier this week before a complication over his medical.
Fielding has completed the formalities of his move and will be the first of at least two goalkeepers Lions boss Neil Harris hopes to sign this transfer window.
While at Blackburn Fielding was called up by Fabio Capello to his England squad for a friendly against Hungary in 2010.
He has vast Football League experience, playing 323 games, and winning League One in 2014-15 with Bristol City when he was also named in the PFA team of the year.
Fielding joins his new team-mates for pre-season at Calmont Road.
