Millwall set to seal deal for Ipswich keeper

IPSWICH Town goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski is having a medical at Millwall ahead of a switch to south London.

The Lions have agreed a fee for Bialkowski, 31, and should there be no hitches he will become Neil Harris' second signing this summer after Alex Pearce joined from Derby.

The Poland international was contracted to Ipswich until 2021, and they had the option of a further 12 months.

Three senior goalkeepers – David Martin, Jordan Archer and Ben Amos – departed Millwall this summer and the club want to add at least one more goalkeeper in this window.

Bialkowski moved to England in 2006 when he signed for Southampton from Górnik Zabrze. He had loan spells at Ipswich and Barnsley before joining Notts County in 2012.

He moved permanently to Ipswich in 2014 and played 178 times for them before their relegation last season to League One.

Bialkowski, who will be 32 next month, is set to join his new team-mates for the start of pre-season training next Tuesday.
