JED Wallace has been playing through the pain barrier recently and will not be fit for Millwall’s final game of the season at Wigan, Neil Harris has revealed.
Wallace was at The Den but missed the Lions’ 2-1 defeat against Bristol City on Tuesday night.
Harris explained the extent of Wallace’s injury problems this season.
“Jed’s been really struggling, not training at any real intensity,” Harris said. “He was just insisting on not being left out because that’s him, he’s a winner. He knew how important he was to us getting points.
“Jed actually did his calf in the warm-up at the weekend. He’s been carrying a knee injury that is being investigated at the moment. Then he’s done his calf and just took enough tablets to be able to get through the game.
“But obviously he didn’t play tonight and he won’t play Sunday. We’ll try to get him fit for next season.”
