NEIL Harris has hinted his squad selection against Bristol City on Tuesday could offer hints on the futures of some players – though the Lions are also depleted through injury.
Millwall are already without Ben Thompson, Tom Bradshaw and Murray Wallace, while Shane Ferguson went off in the 90th minute of the 0-0 draw against Stoke on Saturday. Aiden O'Brien also missed the game against the Potters through injury.
On Monday morning, NewsAtDen asked Harris if Millwall securing their Championship status meant there could be opportunities for fringe players in the last two games against Bristol City and Wigan.
He responded: “I’ll be very, very clear and honest. The first thing I’ll say is that I will only play players that want to be at this football club.
“There will be an indication come tomorrow night.
"Fringe players? It’ll be a case of trying to get 11 fit players on the pitch.
“We’ve had injuries to key players at terrible times. I praised some of the players, for their ability to get themselves on the pitch the last few weeks, that you won’t see again this season because they’ve really had to play through the pain with painkillers to get through.”
