Leeds could face punishment after objects thrown from crowd towards Millwall players

LEEDS United could be charged after objects were thrown onto the pitch in their 3-2 win over Millwall at Elland Road on Saturday.

After Ben Marshall put the Lions 2-1 up from the penalty spot, Jake Cooper appeared to be hit by something thrown from the stands as Millwall players celebrated.

Leeds could be charged with crowd trouble.

The hosts won the game through Pablo Hernandez' goal eight minutes from time, after Millwall had twice led through Ben Thompson and Marshall.

The Football Association will consider the report of referee Darren Bond before deciding on potential action.
