Millwall goalkeeper Archer is back in training – as Harris gives update on Fred

MILLWALL goalkeeper Jordan Archer is back in training ahead of the Championship clash with Leeds United at Elland Road next Saturday.

Archer missed the FA Cup quarter-final against Brighton through illness, which also caused him to withdraw from Scotland's European Championship qualifiers against Kazakhstan and San Marino.

Archer has lost his place in the team for the last two games to David Martin.

"He’s fully fit after a really tough week," Millwall boss Neil Harris said. "He came back in to train at the end of last week and still wasn’t 100 per cent.

"He didn’t want to be stuck at home anymore, so he came in.

"He certainly wouldn’t have been available for Scotland for their game in Kazakhstan, might have been available for San Marino at the weekend. But would he have been 100 per cent, not sure.

"A viral bug hit him really hard but he’s back fully fit."

NewsAtDen also asked Harris about Fred Onyedinma, who has played just eight minutes for the senior side since returning from loan at Wycombe in the first half of the season.

Harris responded: "Fred’s fit, he played 90 minutes the other day in the 23s [against Barnsley], he’s fit and healthy. He’s available for selection."
