Millwall loan watch: Lions young gun spoils David Beckham's big day

MILLWALL defender Danny McNamara scored the first goal of his senior professional career – in front of the watching David Beckham on Saturday.

Beckham, 43, was in the stands at the Peninsula Stadium after buying a 10 per cent stake in Salford City last month.

The former England captain watched Dennis Politic fire Salford in front, aptly with an effort from 45 yards.

But Dover Athletic hit back through right-back McNamara who fired home from close range 25 minutes in before further goals from Scott Doe and Jai Reason sealed a crucial win for the relegation-threatened Athletic against the promotion contenders. McNamara was also named man of the match.

In League Two, Sid Nelson was absent through injury as Tranmere Rovers drew 0-0 at Cambridge United.
