MILLWALL defender Danny McNamara is expected to sign for a National League club this week.
McNamara, 20, joined National League South Welling United on loan in November and returned on a further month’s deal in December.
He was recalled this week and is now set for a loan move one tier up as he continues to build his experience in senior football.
“Danny might have an opportunity to go to a club at the next level,” Lions boss Neil Harris said. “Danny was going to stay at Welling but then we’ve had interest from a couple of [National League] clubs.
“We think he’ll head out somewhere else [this week].”
