NEIL Harris revealed Jiri Skalak could leave Millwall on loan this month but added: “He’s got a big future here.”
Skalak, 26, has started just eight games in all competitions for the Lions this season following his summer move from Brighton.
Skalak was left out of the Millwall squad last weekend against Blackburn Rovers.
“Jiri so far hasn’t found a rhythm for us yet. We’ve not seen the best of him yet, that’s for sure,” Harris said.
“We’re all desperate for him to do well and become that attacking winger we want to see. But we have to remember it does take time to adjust, and a lot of players have come in and found it tough to adjust to Millwall.
“We’re very patient with him. I’m always mindful in transfer windows, as ever, of players who want to play regularly. Jiri certainly needs to find some rhythm to his game.
“I wouldn’t rule out Jiri going to play some football before the end of the season, but he’s also got a big future to play here.
“Again, it’s very open conversations and judging it as we go.”
