Millwall boss explains Czech Republic international's absence

JIRI Skalak is a doubt for Millwall's game with Reading on Boxing Day as he fights an infection.

Czech Republic international Skalak has been absent from the last two match-day squads.

He didn't travel to Stoke on Saturday as the Lions lost 1-0 at The Britannia Stadium.

"He's got a bacterial infection, he's not trained for nine days now," Millwall boss Neil Harris explained. "He's been really unwell, unfortunately.

"We don't know at the moment [about his availability to face Reading]. He's been bed-ridden for nine days."
