Millwall loan watch: Thompson's Portsmouth stay top – but more misery for King's Dons

FRED Onyedinma’s Wycombe were denied an eighth win in 11 games as they drew 2-2 at Gillingham on Saturday.

Onyedinma played the full game and went close to scoring when his deflected shot almost beat Gills goalkeeper Thomas Holy.

The Chairboys were leading 2-0, before second-half goals from Tom Eaves and Josh Parker. Wycombe are ninth in League One, six points off the play-offs.

Ben Thompson – who had his suspension overturned after a red card against Charlton last week – played in midfield in Portsmouth’s 1-1 draw at Barnsley. Kenny Jackett’s Pompey are four points clear of Luton at the top of the third tier.

AFC Wimbledon’s miserable season continued after they plunged to the bottom of League One with a 2-0 defeat at Charlton.

Charlton’s Naby Sarr was sent off after just 56 seconds but the Dons’ man advantage lasted just over half an hour before Mitch Pinnock was also dismissed.

Tom King was on the bench for the visitors.

In League Two, Sid Nelson gave away a penalty for handball in Swindon’s 2-1 defeat at Grimsby.

The Robins drop to 13th in the table, four points off the last play-off spot.

In National League South, Danny McNamara’s Welling United lost 2-1 at Hampton & Richmond and are fourth in the table.
