FORMER Millwall loanee Kevin Davies has revealed that some of Bolton's substitutes refused to warm up at The Den last season because they were scared of the Den crowd.
The Trotters last travelled to SE16 in February for an FA Cup fifth round tie, a game which they won 2-0, and the recently-relegated side come up against the Lions again on Saturday.
And Davies, who scored three goals in nine appearances for Millwall during a loan spell in the 2002-03 season, has called on his Bolton teammates to "block out" the atmosphere this time around.
"With the size of the stadium, it's not even half full at times but you do hear a lot of things," he told his club's official site.
"I remember going there last year and a few of the substitutes refused to warm up because they were getting verbals. Hopefully I'll get on the pitch this time and help the boys.
"You have to get on with it. We've all played in situations like that and you have to block it out and get on with the game."
