Millwall winger a 'long shot' for Brentford clash

JED Wallace is an injury doubt for Millwall for next Saturday’s London derby against Brentford at Griffin Park.

Wallace missed the 3-0 win over Ipswich Town at The Den at the weekend, when Jiri Skalk replaced him in Neil Harris’ starting XI.

Harris admitted it’s a “long shot” that the former Wolves winger will be available to face the Bees.

“We haven’t got a timescale on Jed,” Harris said on Tuesday. “He’s got a strained calf, tried to train Friday and couldn’t.

“We’ll give Jed every opportunity up until Friday to prove his fitness for Saturday. Even having him in the squad as a sub to make an impact with 20 minutes left would be a bonus.

“At the moment it’s probably a long shot that he’s going to get an opportunity to be fit.”
