MILLWALL midfielder George Saville is still a target for Middlebrough and a move could happen this week.
Tony Pulis' Boro made a joint bid for Saville and his Lions team-mate Jed Wallace before the deadline for permanent signings on August 9 but they were knocked back by Millwall.
However Middlebsrough are still hopeful of signing Saville. Clubs can still sign players on loan with permanent deals kicking in on January 1. The August deadline is this Friday at 5pm.
Lions boss Neil Harris said after Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Rotherham that two players could leave this week, but only if replacements are found. Saville missed that game through concussion.
And the Teeside Gazette has confirmed this morning that Saville still interests Boro.
