First-team 2018-19 transfers

Outs: Greg Cunningham [£4 million to Cardiff]; John Welsh [free transfer to Grimsby]; Matthew Hudson [loan to Bury]; Tommy Spurr [loan to Fleetwood]

Much like Millwall, Preston have had a minimal turnover in their squad this summer. After just missing out on the play-offs last season, both sides just wanted to add some extra quality to their side, something that Preston have certainly done with the capture of Ryan Ledson.

Alex Neil lost the services of Jordan Hugill in January to West Ham, though spent wisely to replace him and has now added ex-Aston Villa man Graham Burke to his attacking options.

The Lilywhites had a solid defence like the Lions, and also found their problem to be not scoring enough, which Neil hopes to have addressed by adding these players. Ledson, in particular, provides a more creative threat from deeper in midfield.

Prediction: Just missing out on play-offs

It'll be another solid season at Deepdale, but I think they'll just miss out on the top six without that top forward that they need.
