Tony Mowbray's side are looking to make their mark in the second tier after returning to the Championship at the first attempt.
They were promoted from League One with Wigan and Rotherham, with star man Bradley Dack named as the division's Player of the Season, following his move from Gillingham.
Dack will have his chance to shine in the Championship and looks good enough to do so, with more additions expected at Ewood Park in the coming weeks.
Prediction: Lower mid-table
Rovers will manage to escape relegation due to the individual quality of their stars such as Dack, though it remains to be seen whether Mowbray can do well back in the Championship.
