MILLWALL will have a pre-season training camp in Portugal this summer where they will also play two behind-closed-doors friendlies.
The Lions players and staff will depart for Vilamoura in central Algarve in mid-July. They will train up to three times a day for a week, in between gym and video analysis sessions. They will play against an English side and a Portuguese side during the trip.
After they return they will play their final pre-season friendly, Jimmy Abdou's testimonial at The Den, against yet-to-be-confirmed opponents.
"The trip to Portugal has served us really well the last three years," Lions boss Neil Harris said. "It will serve exactly the same purpose, it will be a chance to get some hard work into the players and for the players to bond.
"We will also get minutes into them with two friendlies. We will be working extremely hard preparing for the new season."
