SHAUN Batt, Tamika Mkandawire and Therry Racon have been included in the Millwall U21 squad for a Development League 2 match against Swansea City on Tuesday.

Transfer-listed goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall, who has played in three youth fixtures already this season, is also set to start the match, which takes place at The Den (13:30 kick-off).

Batt was an unused substitute in the Lions' 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday, while Racon was last on the bench against Cardiff City a week ago.

Manager Kenny Jackett wants Mkandawire to go out on loan to regain match fitness after a long injury lay-off, and several clubs are expected to watch him in action against the Swans.

Millwall U21s were beaten 3-1 by Barnet last time out and head of youth Scott Fitzgerald was extremely disappointed with the result and performance.

"I was very, very disappointed with the Barnet defeat, particularly the manner of our play," he said.

"I've been a player at Millwall, watched a lot of games and now I'm a member of staff. I think I know what the fans are looking for, what Kenny's looking for and I don't think the boys did themselves justice on that day.

"We want to be exciting – getting crosses and shots in. I thought we were really negative against Barnet and we let them dictate the tempo.

"It's a lesson for us but one we have to learn fast because there's only 17 development fixtures left now."

Why hasn't Conor Wilkinson been given a senior squad number? He clearly has a good career ahead of him & been selected for the Republic U19s. I can see us losing him on the cheap, as usual.
