Championship preview: Barnsley vs. Millwall

NEIL Harris believes Millwall will come up against one of the Championship's best talents this weekend.

Oli McBurnie joined Barnsley on loan from Swansea in January, and has scored five goals in his last five games for the club.

His goals have directly earned his side six points since he joined, including taking vital points off fellow relegation strugglers Hull and Birmingham.

Scotland striker McBurnie, 21, also has Premier League pedigree, having played 11 times in the top flight for the Swans this season, though he didn't find the back of the net in any of them.

The centre-forward is 6ft 2ins tall, and it wouldn't be a surprise if the Lions' recruitment team were monitoring him on Saturday.

Barnsley are just three points above the relegation zone in their second successive season in the second tier. They have won just once in six games under Jose Morais, but Harris has warned they will still pose a threat.

"Barnsley have some outstanding players at this level – Oli McBurnie is certainly one of the best players in the division," Harris said. "We have to quieten their attacking threats and concentrate, as ever, on what we do.

"They haven't changed hugely with the new manager. There have been some subtle changes and the players are having a right go. They're in a relegation dogfight and we'll expect the exact same as we had at Burton and Birmingham.

"To get a result in this division, as we've seen recently, we have to be at our best. We haven't been at our attacking best lately, but defensively we've been solid and reliable.

"The brick wall we had in front of the goal second half against Brentford helped us last weekend, and we could certainly do with taking that north with us. But we earned that luck because we haven't had it a number of times this season."

Aiden O'Brien could return for Millwall, while midfielder Joe Williams is Barnsley's only doubt.
