SHAUN Williams has triggered a one-year extension to his Millwall contract.
Williams activated the clause when he made his 15th league start this season in the Lions’ 2-0 win over Reading on Saturday.
Midfielder Williams, 31, would have hit the key target much earlier this campaign, but he damaged knee ligaments in September against the Royals and didn’t start again until Boxing Day.
Williams signed a new one-year deal last summer after promotion to the Championship, and is now tied to the club until June 2019.
He signed for Millwall from MK Dons in January 2014 and has made 178 appearances in all competitions and scored 12 goals.
