Millwall boss: 'Cahill wants to come back to England – we're still talking'

NEIL Harris says Millwall are still in discussions with Tim Cahill over a move back to The Den.

Harris was speaking after the Lions’ 2-2 FA Cup fourth-round draw against Rochdale on Saturday, but refused to be drawn on the likelihood of the move going through.

“Timmy is a friend of mine, I played a lot of games with him and have known him for a long time,” Harris said. "He wants to come back and play in England and give himself an opportunity to play in the World Cup.

"I’ve had discussion with him about coming back and those discussions will continue. We’ll have to see where it takes us."

Harris is still also trying to recruit another attacking player.

He said: “I’ve been chasing a wide player all window so we’re still busy trying to do that. We’ve been close a couple of times, very close last Sunday and very close midweek as well.

“It hasn’t quite happened but I fully expect now this cup weekend is out of the way for players to become available that we’re chasing.

“The squad is still a little bit light, we still need another couple of players.”
