STEVE Morison believes if Millwall can repeat some of their performances on the road this season they can get their first away win of the campaign at Elland Road.
The Lions face Morison’s former club Leeds United on Saturday as the only Championship side yet to taste victory away from home this season.
Millwall are unbeaten in seven home games following their 1-1 draw against Preston last weekend, and Morison believes both their performances against Alex Neil’s side this season show their quality.
“It was frustrating but it’s good to come in after a game against a team like Preston, who have done very well, and be ultra-disappointed with a draw,” Morison said. “We knew it was going to be one of our toughest games this season, we gave a very good account of ourselves but switched off for one moment and the lad scored. But it’s not all bad, a while ago we would have lost it.
“Two draws against them shows where we are. We’re a good team and will rest up again this week, we have a tight squad and need to make sure everyone is fit and ready for the weekend.
“I think if we go to Leeds and play anywhere near the level we have this season in some away games we will come away with the points.”
Millwall have yet to add to their squad in January’s transfer window, and Morison thinks a couple of new faces could be the boost they need as they aim to keep their Championship status.
He said: “Definitely, we always need to add to the squad with better players or players with the same quality we’ve got here. I think we’d all welcome a few players through the door, more than anything to give us a helping hand when and as needed.
“At the minute we’ve got 12 or 13 players who are playing most of the games.”
