MILLWALL boss Neil Harris hopes to have Shane Ferguson back in his match-day squad at Leeds United on Saturday.
Ferguson has been out since December 2 but returned to full training on Monday.
Tom Elliott featured for the under-23s in their draw with Bristol City, alongside Ben Thompson.
And Harris also gave an update on Byron Webster, expected to miss the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury but who has stepped up his recovery and is back running.
Harris said: “Byron’s on schedule in the sense that he saw the specialist last week and was hoping for the good news. With such a serious injury obviously anything can go wrong at any time.
“It’s testament to his qualities as a professional that he’s bang on schedule time-wise, but he’ll be in front of the plan in the sense of strength in his body and knee because of the work he’s done.
“He’s a top pro and he’s attacked everything that’s been put in front of him, gym work, swimming, etc. He’s a great example to the rest of the squad.
“We’re hoping Shane trains all week. We’re really pleased to welcome Tom back and we hope to have Shane back in the squad for Saturday.”
