Archer back in training and part of Millwall group visiting Lewisham Hospital

JORDAN Archer trained yesterday and is available for Millwall’s fixture against Middlesbrough at The Den on Saturday.

Archer missed last weekend’s game against Aston Villa as he had a virus and Dave Martin kept a clean sheet on his debut.

Martin will likely drop back to the bench next weekend.

Archer was among eight Millwall players that took part in the club’s annual visit to Lewisham Hospital's children's wards on Tuesday afternoon, alongside club captain Tony Craig, Shaun Hutchinson, James Meredith, Conor McLaughlin, Jake Cooper, Jed Wallace and Tom Elliott.

Hutchinson highlighted the importance of the visit.

“It’s brilliant, it’s always a visit that you don’t mind doing,” Hutchinson said. “If you can put a smile on a kid’s face, even if it’s just for one day, it’s the least we can do. The more of these visits we can do the better.

“When you hand them the little teddies and gifts they have smiles on their faces and it makes you feel really good. Any little thing you can do to help goes a long way.”
