Millwall suffer winger injury blow

MILLWALL winger Shane Ferguson will miss the Christmas period after he suffered a knee injury in training last week.

Ferguson was absent from the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, with Aiden O'Brien returning to the side.

Lions boss Neil Harris said: "Fergie has gone over and injured his medial knee ligament, which means he will be out for up to about six weeks."

Jordan Archer was also ruled out of the Villa Park stalemate but he should be back in training on Monday.

Midfielder Shaun Williams made his return to first-team action after more than two months out through injury when he came on as an 88th-minute substitute for O'Brien.
