Championship preview: Millwall vs. Barnsley

LEE Gregory returns from suspension for Millwall, who are aiming for a fourth successive home win in the league on Saturday.

Gregory could go straight back into Neil Harris' starting XI in place of Fred Onyedinma.

Tom Elliott is still out injured.

George Saville, who scored a brace in the 2-1 win over Reading on Tuesday night, welcomed Gregory's availability.

He said: "Obviously Gregs is a big miss not just for his goals but for his work rate. He does a lot of work that fans may not see.

"Tom Elliott has been great for us this season as well.

"The likes of me, Jed Wallace, Aiden O'Brien, we're doing our best to chip in and score goals when needed.

"[Tuesday] was my chance to step up and help the team and I'm happy I could."

Millwall's win over the Royals lifted them to 12th in the Championship table. The Lions started the season 5/2 to get relegated, but those odds have lengthened to 11/1.

Saville, though, isn't getting carried away with their good start to the season.

"To be honest, we've only played 10 games, and it would be easy to sit here and say everything is great and rosy," he warned. "We've played 10 games, we've got another 36 to go. I don't think we can get ahead of ourselves.

"I'm just happy that I'm playing regular football and there's confidence flowing throughout the team. We have to maintain that.

"We've set the benchmark now and we need to keep pushing and progressing and learning and that's what we're doing."

Barnsley defeated Millwall three times in the 2015-16, and have won the last four fixtures between the sides.

Barnsley beat Millwall 3-1 in the 2016 League One play-off final (above), but just four of the match-day squad that day are still with the club this season, compared to Millwall's nine.

Paul Heckingbottom's side have struggled this season, and have yet to win a league game on the road.

He said this week: "The majority of our fans understand how hard we have worked to get to a certain position, then jumping backwards, and having to start again.

"No one is as frustrated as me about that."
