JORDAN Archer's call-up by Scotland boosted his confidence before the meeting with Norwich City last weekend, his boss Neil Harris believes.
Archer is in a senior international squad for the first time as Gordon Strachan’s Tartan Army take on Lithuania and Malta on September 1 and September 4.
Conor McLaughlin and Shane Ferguson are also with Northern Ireland as they take on San Marino and Czech Republic.
Archer kept his second clean sheet in a row in the Lions’ 4-0 win over the Canaries.
“I’m always pleased for my players when they get the opportunity to represent their country,” Harris said. “It’s a great achievement.
“I thought Jordan’s performance last Saturday [week] showed a man with added vigour and confidence in his game. He looked about as commanding, composed and authoritative as he has done in his whole time as a Millwall goalkeeper.
“He made some good solid saves and some top saves at key moments.”
