NEIL Harris will make changes to his starting XI for Tuesday’s EFL Cup second-round clash with Reading.
Millwall drew 0-0 at Bristol City on Saturday, and the likes of Mahlon Romeo and Ben Thompson, who didn’t make the bench at Ashton Gate, will come into contention.
Tom Elliott, who has scored three goals in five games, could start up front with Fred Onyedinma.
Harris made nine changes to his side for the 2-0 win over Stevenage in the last round.
“I’m certainly going to give people an opportunity, not just to get minutes, but to impress me as well. I was really impressed with so much in our cup win against Stevenage,” Harris said.
“I thought the subs made a good impact [Saturday]. I’ve got Mahlon and Ben who haven’t made the bench. For me, that’s a great position to be in as a manager.
“We’ll be looking to freshen it up on Tuesday night. It’s a chance for people to stake their claim for next Saturday against Norwich.”
