JAMIE Philpot came on as a 70th-minute substitute as Woking defeated Gateshead in their opening-day National League fixture.
Philpot is on loan until October with Woking, who won on Saturday after goals from Inih Effiong and Joe Ward.
Harry Smith made his competitive debut for Swindon Town against Carlisle, coming on as a 34th-minute substitute for Luke Norris.
Smith, 22, had an eventful afternoon as he had a goal ruled out and was booked in his side’s 2-1 win.
