MILLWALL confirmed their second permanent signing on Monday with the capture of George Saville from Wolves.
Saville has signed a three-year deal and follows former Wolves team-mate Jed Wallace to south London.
Saville, 24, played 15 times on loan at Millwall in 2015-16, and three games during a temporary spell in SE16 in the 2012-13 season.
He was at the club’s Calmont Road training ground on Monday for the start of pre-season training ahead of the 2017-18 Championship season.
Former Chelsea midfielder Saville’s recent experience of that division will be crucial. He played 50 Championship games for Wolves, scoring six goals, and he will compete with Shaun Williams, Ben Thompson and Calum Butcher for a midfield spot.
Saville, who joins for an undisclosed fee, told Millwall’s website: “I'm very happy and really looking forward to getting going.
“The manager wanted me in for the first day of pre-season and that makes everything easier for me and the boys.
“I'm delighted to be back down south. I know a few of the boys already, it's a good club with good staff.
“There's a buzz around the training ground following promotion, everyone is confident and excited to get going again.”
Saville is Millwall's fourth permanent signing this summer.
